Broccoli & bacon bake


250g essential Waitrose Penne
250g pack essential Waitrose Smoked British Bacon Streaky Rashers
400g essential Waitrose Broccoli
2 tbsp olive oil
1 x ½ tsp cumin seeds
1 Pinch of cayenne pepper
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 x ½ 250g pack essential Waitrose Mature Grated Cheddar


1. Cook the pasta according to pack instructions. Meanwhile, cut the bacon into 1cm pieces, the broccoli into florets and the stalk into small pieces then cook in boiling water for 4-5 minutes until tender. Drain and tip into a shallow ovenproof dish
2. Heat a frying pan and dry fry the bacon pieces for 5 minutes until they begin to crisp. Scatter on top of the broccoli.
3. Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in thefrying pan with the cumin seeds, cayenne pepper, and garlic. Spoon on to the bacon, tip the pasta over the top and sprinkle with the cheese. Cook under a preheated grill until the cheese is melting and beginning to brown.
