Red Lentil Curry

250g chana dal
150-200 g red lentils
1 large onion
4 pieces of garlic
2 cm of ginger
1 green chili

few coriander seeds
1 spoon of curry 
1 tea spoon of tumeric powder
1 tea spoon of gram masala
1 tea spoon of  hot chilli
1 tea spoon of ground cumin 
1 tea spoon  of salt or Vegeta
fresh coriander leaves
can of chopped tomatoes

1. Wash the dal and lentils with water
2. Put the dal to the pot and cover with water. Cook around 15 -20 min. Then add lentils and cook for another 15 min. If necessary add more water (ideally hot water from the kettle). 
3. In the meantime, warm-up the oil on the frying pan and add coriander seads, chopped onion -fry for a while. Then add chopped chili and garlic, grated ginger and the rest of spicies. Mix properly and add tomatoes and mixed again. 
4. Once the lentils and dal will be ready mix with tomatoes sauce.
5. Serve either with rice or pita bread.
